Lil help plz its about traveling?

Question

i am 15 im not goin to do any of this befor i get permssion from my parents. this trip is goin to be next year when im 16

my parents are goin to set up the stuff online(and yes i am paying for it not my parents).

is this stuff allowed when im 16 (im goin to the anime expo of 09)

by air im goin to be traveling from Columbus, OH to Los Angelous, CA (im 99% sure this is alowed)

checking into a hotel for 5 days (not sure NEEDED INFO)

renting a car (im not sure but if not im goin to be using a taxi since i only realy need 1 trip from the air port to the hotel and back)

and if you think of anything that i missed feel free to put it in you answer

You sound so responsible.  Usually, the airports have free shuttles to and from local hotels.  Of course don't forget to tip the driver a couple of bucks.

You better have someone along with you 18 years or older. Many places like hotels and taxis won't allow 16 year olds to rent a room to themselves or take a cab by themselves either.

Air travel will be no problem, but...

The minimum age to check in to a hotel in California is 18.

You won't be able to rent a car either.
