Lil kids beginning to talk?

Yeh at what age do they start talking because one of my friends said that her mom told her that she started talking cleary at 8 months old. I find that hard to beleive because my new lil cuzin how is 15 months is just starting to learn a couple of words. Is it cuz shes super smart?? or my cuzing just slow?

Your cousin is normal, my 13 mth old has just started with the jibberish..I think that your friends mom may be exaggerating.

At 8 months some kids start saying "momma" and "dadda" but they dont attach meaning to the words, it's kinda like a parrot mimicking you without knowing what they are saying.

i have a cuzin and he is about 1 and a half and he is just starting to say words that he hears others say so dont rush him/her to talk just let them talk when they want but you can always start saying stuff to him/her trying to encourage them to talk but tnot forcing

my son is 16 months, he can say a lot.

but 8 months is a little weird.

maybe they started walking at 8 months, but not talking.

My first child could speak pretty well at 10 months. My second didn't start talking until 20 months. Everyone is different, don't be concerned.

My son started talking around 15 months I think 8 months is a lil to early to begin talking, I mean really talking not just babbling.
