The bush produces very small, non-smelling flowers, and they don't last long at all!

Its aout 30 years old, with old center growth being thick, and brittle!

What/when should I do something to encouage better flowers/with a smell!

thnx

  1. Time to do selective pruning !

Cut back some of the oldest stems growing from the center of the plant. These should be taken out all the way to ground level. See source for more info.

  2. It might be past its flowering age i would try pruning it back  a little bit
