  1. Hi,

I would prefer a light green color to make your carpet stand out beautifully. It'll give your room a nature, clean , breezy feel. You should get light wood furniture or even bamboo. Itll give it an exotic tinting .

  2. maybe a peanutty color

  3. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a pale "chapeau violet" (# 7136) would be a great wall color, and then get black furniture for contrast.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like

  4. For small rooms always go for a light colour.  You already have colour in the carpet so go neutral for the walls, a cream colour.  Use the carpet as a basis to colour your room with pictures, curtains and bed covers.  Deep grape colours or if you want something more lively use lime green and supple pinks in the accessories.  If you want to change the colour more then buy a big rug that takes up most of the room and go with that but keep the walls neutral and use accessories like curtains cushions pictures so it's easy to change the feel of the room in future.   Buy furniture that you can repaint if you are into that or stick to white or really light timber or metal stuff, either black or silver finish.

  5. hmm...presuming that you are not totally  thrilled with the lilac, I would go with a pale cappucchino color on the walls, dark wood/ dark chocolate furniture.  Use silver metallic, graphite gray and cream as accents.  It will both enhance/ yet tone down the purple, but look sophisticated also.  as for style, you could either go a little on the ornate side for a feminine/frilly look, or very simple and sleek with straight lines and more geometric shapes for a more contemporary look.

  6. I'd suggest that you paint the walls an off white and then get a dark tint of the carpet colour to display a feature wall - perhaps a wall that has a good picture on it or window etc.  This will make it look like the carpet colour is intentional.  Depending on what you already have I'd go for a dark tint of furniture with white or cream linen.  Something a bit like this might be nice: http://www.cefurnstudio.com/images/Purpl...

I'd go for a purple with a dark tint - blue shade not pinky so you don't get that tacky purple colour you see in some places
