Following a 40 million Euros sale of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, Les Douges have been busy in the transfer market to replace their star player and add more firepower to their squad.
After attaining services of Marvin Martin from their rival Ligue 1 outfit, Lille have already set their sights on adding more quality players. 2010/2011 champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ibrahim-Afellay-c16547 in recent times and are in pole position
to sign the Dutch international.
However, despite the availability of funds following the sale of Eden Hazard, LOSC’s latest transfer target isn’t any high profile player but is a 19-year-old winger who plays for the Greek side AEK Athens.
Lille are very much serious in attaining the services of Viktor Klonaridis and according to francefootball.fr, Les Dogues have tabled a bid of 800,000 Euros that will rise to 150,000 Euros depending on the game-time and various bonuses, for the player.
Few other clubs are also in the race for the signature of highly-rated youngster, but Lille are in a strong position to sign him.
Although Viktor Klonaridis does not have the experience of Marvin Martin or Ibrahim Afellay, Lille coach Rudi Garcia rates the player in very high regards and believes that Klonaridis has a very bright future and his inclusion will help the club next season
and seasons beyond that.
Viktor Klonaridis made 15 appearances in the Super League in which he managed to score three goals. Few sections of media are targeting this likely signing of Lille as a blow to club’s high ambitions. But Rudi Garcia rubbished such reports and stated that
the player has so much to offer and he will be a success in France.
The Belgian is available at a very low price and the risk regarding player’s success or failure is very minimal. Klonaridis hopes to make a name for himself in Ligue 1 and vows to win over his critics.
Lille’s activities in Mercato are a warning for other title rivals as Les Dogues have made it clear that they are here to stay and will challenge for titles.
