Reports suggest that the 20-year old midfielder, Eden Hazard, is set to sign a contract extension with his Ligue 1 side, Lille OSC, in the coming weeks.
The Belgian international’s current contract with Les Dogues runs until the summer of 2014, but the attacking midfielder was frequently linked with moves away from the French outfit that tempted the Mastiff’s management to tie him down with a new contract.
Reports suggest that the Ligue 1 outfit has offered an improved deal that runs until the summer of 2016. The attacking midfielder is expected to make the decision in the coming weeks.
LOSC management are hopeful that the contract extension negotiations are done successfully before their encounter against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 at the weekend.
The 20-year old prolific midfielder is the product of Lille’s youth academy. He was picked up to play in the Lille’s senior team in the 2007/08 season and has developed into a key player for the French outfit.
The Belgian international notified his performances at Europe’s top-notch clubs, as he was recently linked with clubs like Arsenal FC, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Bayern-Munich-c39081. It is expected that the attacking midfielder will insist on a minimum release clause if
he wants to pursue his career elsewhere.
Hazard said, “I appreciate http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 as well, but my characteristics correspond more to Spanish football. Furthermore, this country corresponds to my temperament, the heat, and the beautiful stadiums”.
The Belgian international, who has constantly denied making a move away from his current club, has created many speculations about his future by praising the Spanish outfits.
The 20-year old attacking midfielder has been named Ligue 1’s player of the year for the past two seasons. Les Dogues management will have to ensure that they hold on to their prized asset for the next couple of seasons, as it will maximise the profit on
his transfer.
Les Dogues are currently Ligue 1 table toppers and will be looking to take a spot in the UEFA Champions League next season. The French outfit will look to gain maximum profit from the 20-year old Belgian prodigy in the future if they manage to negotiate
the contract extension successfully.
