Lille forward Gervinho set to push for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 move – Premier League Update
The current transfer window could prove to be the most productive one in Arsenal’s recent history. The team is being linked with moves for some of the best players in the business and in a rather dramatic turn of events, it seems like those players are actually
eager to make the move to the Emirates.
Lille forward, Gervinho seems to be amongst the list of players, that is currently set to make his move to the Emirates. According to Lille, the forward has made it quite clear that he wants to join Arsenal and now all that the team need is for the Gunners
to make a substantial offer for the player.
The twenty four year old, Ivory Coast international has been linked with a move to the Emirates, for well over two months now. One of the prime reasons for this, is because of the fact that the forward has enjoyed a near flawless season with the French club,
which ended up in Lille lifting their first French League trophy, in fifty seven years. However, that isn’t all, as Lille also went on to win the French Cup and in doing so, completed a French league and cup double.
Arsene Wenger seems to be one of the managers who has been keeping close tabs on the player. One of the main reasons for the manager wanting to do so, is because of the fact that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 just can’t seem to be fit for a complete season and hence
the Gunners need one more player, who can help provide the magic upfront for the club.
Lille club President, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gervinho-c14755 is keen on Arsenal,” he told
RMC.
“For the moment, there has been simple contact, but we have not received a concrete offer yet."
However, due to Arsenal’s inability to strike up a solid offer for the player as yet, Seydoux has also gone on to hint that the player could even end up staying at Lille for another season.
Seydoux then went on to add: "Several clubs are interested in the player and some are keen to open negotiations”
“All options are still open though. He could even stay with us. Nothing has been closed yet."
The forward is currently being valued at around ten to eleven million pounds and that happens to be a fee, which Arsenal can easily pay for the player. The only thing that is now left for the Gunners to do, is to strike the iron while it’s hot, or they could
potentially miss out on the opportunity to landing the forward, altogether.
