Lima, Peru.?

Question

I am travelling to Lima next year, anyone been ? need info on city, is beach good etc.? what about nightlife?

and cheap airtravel?

The city is a typical old spanish colonial one. There is no proper beach at all, it is very rocky. The city is also covered in a thick fog a lot of the time, coming in off the Pacific. The most amazing thing about it is that there are no drains in the road, because the climate is so arid. The plants take their water from the sea fog. Best not to spend too much time in Lima, get up to Cuzco instead. Definitely no beach but lots of archaaeology.

I was raised in Lima. If you are only going to Lima, visit Miraflores or Barranco where the night life can be found. Throughout the city though, you can find great restaurants and everything is really really cheap (compared to US prices).

haha... go there first, ask questions later. just get here as soon as possible, its the best place on earth, you dont know what ur missing. the place is beautiful, the people are sooo nice, its exceedingly cheap and i have the best girlfriend in the world. im in a great hotel in callao now, people say callao is the most ugly and dangerous place in lima but im having no problems here at all. i love lookin out the top window onto the city and watching the action, its so wonderful. i have so many things now that i never had in america.
