Lima, good for discovery of yourself and girls?

Question

Heres the lowdown, early 20s, never had a girlfriend, no job, no school, nothing, really intelligent, creative and cute.... for a long time I ain't been anywhere or done anything cuz I've been so depressed. Mainly from insomnia and not being able to get girls. Then off To Ecuador and Colombia. Will this be a bad idea to spend all my money and start at Lima? Will things go in my favor? Like will I have good experiences for a change and be able to sleep and have numerous girls approach me everywhere all the time hitting on me? Will any of this happen or is it just an illusion and will I make a big mistake going there and be really disappointed and regret it? If I go there and it turns out to be a nightmare I won't be able to handle it.

Hmmm well, definitely you'll across some "bricheras": women who seduce tourists so they'll take them out of Peru. Again that is mainly in Cusco but still be very careful with that.

We, Peruvian women, are very nice, but just as any other woman, we don't like to be treated like a holiday adventure. Have fun but don't get into anything weird or else you'll regret it and get even more depressed.

You would be better off in the Philippines, but even there, you want to do the approaching. Otherwise you are going to end up with bar girls / diseases.

Lima, Peru is a great place to meet women. There are so many beautiful, intelligent single women there just dreaming of meeting a nice guy to get married. I highly recommend it, as I have been there many times.

May I offer a suggestion? Instead of going there and waiting to meet women, why not join a dating website first and establish some communications with some. That way when you get there, you will have  your plans made out. You may also find they are willing to meet you at the airport and help you get around the city. This is very important since Lima is a risky place to wonder around haplessly.

No they won't be hitting on you in the public streets. This is not the nature of Peruvian women. If you want that, you need to go to the Philippines or somewhere in SE Asia.

Don't be agressive, just be nice and polite, and you will find yourself meeting some nice women

Update - After reading your update I would like to add some comments. If you are really set on these women approaching you, then you must go outside of Lima. You will have much better success going to a city that is not frequented by tourists and foreigners. In some cases, you will feel like a celebrity, since people will want to meet you.

Do you speak Spanish? If the answer is no, I highly suggest you learn some basics.

Mmmmm....I guess more than finding girls you must find yourself. Although intelligent, young, creative and  cute you have been having insomnia and depression.

Being sorrounded by easy girls wont help...

I suggest speaking to a counselor or taking some therapy.
