Lime Wire, is it safe to download music?

When i was in college i used DC for all my music and movie downloading. My Dell computer died on me one day, and with it i lost all my music, movies, etc that was stored on that computer. Is it safe to download music from lime wire, or is there another way to get my music off my ipod onto my new computer?

Lime Wire is not safe. Not only is it not safe it is not legal. However, there are many free programs that will take the music off of your ipod. The program I use is called ephpod. Here is the link to the site. http://www.ephpod.com/
