Limewire, downloading question?

ppl say that limewire is safe but some stuff isn't, how can u tell ur downloading a safe song oor video or not?

what do u check for?

Looking at the size of the is usually a good indication of what is contained in the file. A music file can vary between 3 and 7mb, and a music video up to 40mb. If the file is around 200kb, this is most likely not what it says it is. Just be careful of what you are downloading, making sure it has plenty sources and is not very small file.

make sure the file your downloading is mp3, and doesnt have a very big file (like the number on the side should be over about 8,000)

Once you have finished a download, go to your hardrive, find it in there and scan it with an anti-virus before opening it. That saved me to get a virus twice in about 5 months of usage.

I've been using Limewire for 2 years now. Never had a problem with it.
