  1. limewire is not illegal , the way you might use it can be

  2. Because there's just toooo many

Keep using it like the rest of us! If one goes down, and another one, and then another one, then most of us, then we ALL go down!!!

  3. Nobody will come after you,I'm using limewire for 8 years now....still free!

  4. sureeeeee

  5. The government. Or the authorities as I'd prefer to put it focus mostly on people actually breaking the copyright laws in the first place and who provide large amounts of stolen information to the public. This in theory should stop it. It's a smaller group of people uploading information so should be easier to crack down on. But like drugs they also need to destroy the market for people who choose to upload movies, games, music etc. So they tend to pic random people and punish them to create the fear that is associated with illegaly downloading movies.

To answer the first part of your question. If you delete the data you can still be charged. Even if you do delete it there will be a log that you downloaded it in the first place, leading to your computer's ip address and various other serial numbers on you computer that you won't be able to get rid of. If you bought the computer online they could connect you to it throught that, or just throught your email address or any other numbers of ways. You couldn't escape if they chose you to come after. And they don't care if you deleted the movies, like the don't care if a drug addict ditched his bag of coke before he got picked up. They just care that you're part of a market for copyright theft and p****y.

You're just another statistic in their eyes, the person who decides to have you arrested and prosicuted will never meet you, to them you're just another number.

  6. they stop caring about limewire long ago  so keep using it i download 30 song some movies everyday and i'm ok

  7. There are a lot of people, and perhaps the government just doesn't care that much about something so small as a music sharing website. If they can find specific people, they will get one person. Don't use it. I hear it gives viruses and it's illegal. It's a music sharing website. If you delete it and get rid of everything you got off it, you aren't really in trouble because you knew you committed a crime and got rid of everything so you didn't do a crime, so... yeah. There are too many people, and the government is too busy being lazy to get Lime Wire, or even save the United States' economy for that matter!

  8. Who says they are not right this minute doing just that

  9. Sorry, if you have used Limewire even once, you can be traced. Limewire logs all connections and P2P sharing. Your ISP is also able to tell if you have been using P2P file sharing by the types of packets bring sent over the internet.

As for the government, they are beginning to crack down and enforce laws against p****y. It is true that many use Limewire, but it would be difficult to prosecute so many people at one time.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

  10. first you should be okay but if you want to delete there's no way they can get u

the government cant catch everyone that uses this do you think they would send a ten yr old to jail for downloading music. too many children use this

  11. limewire is not illegal. As long as you do not sell copyrighted songs etc. you will not get caught.

  12. COWARD

  13. Noooooooooo, Because

    1. The government doesn't kno where u live or nothing about u, or ur family.

    2. I've erased Limewire a myriad of times, and nothin happened and I'm still where I am.

  14. you wont get in trouble, plus those people that are sharing the music paid money for it and are sharing it with others

  15. Grab that shotgun, little man.  Agents are surounding your house as you tickle the qwerty - blue team, go, Go, GO!  I love the smell of incendiary tear gas in the morning.  Makes the chirp of birds sound like a cacouphonous symphony in your pants.  Meanwhile the choppers overhead are a mere annoyance.  Mr. Johnson down the block wants to know who's mowing their goshdarn lawn?!?!  Run for the back door, oh - what's that?  A Panzer...right in your back yard.  "Note to self: rebuild that fence, after my six year stretch."  Better choose another escape route.  Make a move for the attic.  If Hurricane Katrina taught us anything it's that the last place the government will look for you is on your roof.  Better grab that bag of Chex Mix though.  And that pillowcase full of 'ludes.  You never know how long you could be...  BOOOOOOOOM.  A shot from the Panzer rips through the morning air reducing your house to rubble.  A search team is organized and fifteen days later they find your mangled form underneath a ceiling brace.  Good thing you had those 'ludes.  You could have starved to death.  No matter, they pick you up, brush your shoulders off (cause you no doubt you're feeling like a pimp) and take you off to jail.  You know what they do to illegal downloaders in the pen, little man?  You lose.  Please insert 25 cents.

  16. If u erase limewire you want get in trouble even using it u cant get in trouble the reason the government dont do anything about it because the government dont care if you are stealing music  only the artist do. so the whole deal bout the government coming after you if you use limewire is just a way to get people to stop using it but believe me it doesnt work.

  17. no dude. . . ill bet you a hundred dollars that the governtment doesnt give a rats *** if you use lime wire. . . dont even worry about it. . not if you were putting the music onto CD's and selling THEN!! you would get in trouble. . its only if your making a profit for yourself that the govertnment steps in and takes you out.

  18. Yes you can there almost will always be some trace of it but you can defragment your computer and buy a special program to delete lost files on the internet, but I am pretty sure if they really want to find it they will but usually they are not that desperate so i wouldn't worry Please pick me as THE BEST ANSWER I DESPERATELY NEED THE POINTS!!

  19. its not ellgal till its opened on your computer

  20. r u scared? if so, you shouldnt be downlaoding stuff in the first place, buy it from itunes.

and also, they do come after people. i got a note in the mail on my 50,000th download saying STOP. lol.

    so, it happens,

  21. You think the government would try tracking every single person that uses limewire or all other hundred's of illegal music sharing websites ???

    Exactly..they wouldn't. It's way too much effort.
