Limewire, legal or not?

alright, im pretty sure downloading from limewire is illegal. and yes i know it is dangerous and can download viruses on your computer. but is a safer way to download music? and if i keep using limewire, what are the chances i'll get caught? how much would i be fined?

using limewire is not illegal. Downloading pirated songs is.

I don't think the chances are high you will get cuahgt but still rather possible.

as for the fine cost, not sure, I think you get a jail sentence.

Limewire = Legal

Using Limewire to Download Music = Ileegal

Using Limewire to Download Music is Ruining The Music Industry. Please Don't do it. Also, it downloads a worm when u install it, and anyone can access any files on ur computer. Its the number one reason for viruses on peoples computers. Its not safe. You probably wont get caught, but if you do, you will get fined more than it would cost to buy the music.

Hi there!

Limewire is a legal program, however the use of it for downloading copyrighted material is not! A safer way would be to use something like digirama or the iTunes store, bear in mind it is all legal and will cost money per song though.
