Limewire firewall help

ive used limewire before but now with my McAfee virus protection thing, limewire hasnt been running.........in the lower left hand corner it shows a firewall symbol thing....helppppp

There must be a part of the firewall that has permissions that you can nominate Limewire as an allowed in and out program this will give it access to external connections.

   1.  Open the settings of your security program (usually by right-clicking the system tray icon)

   2. Locate a section for adding exceptions for specific programs

   3. Add LimeWire as an exception (C:\Program Files\LimeWire\LimeWire.exe by default on Windows systems)

disable your firewall

add limewire to the list of trusted applications

disable or set ur firewall to allow all which would allow u to download anything even viruses so b careful
