Limewire good or bad??

well heres the deal i had limewire about a year ago and it made my computer crash but now i have a laptop and im sick of having to pay for songs. i have norton anti virus do you think that will keep me pretty safe from all the viruses and c**p??

i've been getting songs from limewire for over a year with no problems,as for anti virus i use avg 8.0

limwire is good, u might be using it wrong, it probably made your computer crash because when u download songe u pic T3 or higher, only not the others one, the other ones are just viruses, u dont have to pay, just pick the free one.

try using ARIES to download free music too!

no don't use limewire, it's full of viruses.

try using bit torrent, it's fairly easy to use you just have to get the hang of it.

ok, here's the lowdown on Limewire. if you download it anywhere other than from their site. its very likely/possible it could have been repacked with viruses, spyware, trojans etc. any savvy up to no good techy can download a legit version of limewire, hack it apart, throw in his 2 cents(viruses etc) and pack it back up and throw it on the web, so:

go to the original site and download it from there. Pro isn't free but you obviously don't seem to worry to much about paying for stuff.

Limewire pro back when I used it could be found on the non pro search and basically download the non free one through the free one illegally. ironic right??

well good luck and that  holds true with any software. make sure you get it from the original site, google it and see if you can find it. if not virus scan any installs you download and make sure nothing nasty awaits you
