Limewire help! it wont connect any ideas?

my limewire wont connect

iv tried everything like turning my firewall on or off n it doesnt make a difference

i duno wot else to try iv tried unistalling and reinstalling it but it still wont connect

is there anything i need to set up?

Could be your service provider is blocking it due to alleged overuse.

If this is the case find yourself a different one.

Some ISPs have got a bloody nerve, they boast about speeds that they fail to provide but if you slightly overdo the downloading they play silly beggars with you but don't tell you what they are doing.

Try frostwire, its the same layout as limewire and it works, you can get the free version here http://www.download.com  i had the same  problem with limewire too, so ended up getting rid!!

when u open limewire on the top left is a tab saying file,hit that then hit connect

something is blocking from firewall thats why

you might have antivirus softwares that got firewall make sure limewire is unticked

u got a virus its called the POLICE! unistall it as quick as u can and d/lete it off your h/d quick,quick,...........(knock,knock.?..)

ill be honest with you delete limewire right now cause every download puts viruses into you computer but most are just hard disk viruses witch means they dont harm your computer but take up you memory but my computer crashed from limewire and i had to get a new HP computer but if you choose to use limewire then dont share files or you will get a virus and get the lastest virus protection software avalible if you want to keep using your computer but the best mp3 site so far for free downloads is MP3rocket.com and dont download more then one song at a time or your internet administrator will see that and you could be fined $35,000 for copyright law it happend to my friend cause he is stupid

Mine does this sometimes.

What I do is open the application, leave it for a few minutes so no activity, check the little world picture in bottom left hand corner. If no brick wall infront then you can commence searching.

if you have a router the port will need opening for it to work correctly

search google for port fowarding on your router

or do what i did get rid of limewire download mp3rocket which is the exact same program everything is identical but you get many extra features for free

i had the same problem i changed to this and not had a problem scince
