Limewire help?!?

Question

My limewire can't connect now because it says:

"Your computer is behind a firewall or router and cannot receive direct connections"

what am I suposse to do?! I can't buy music because I don't have that much money and i'm 12 yrs. old(I don't know if age counts) but what can I do for both?!

Disabling your firewall wont help especially if its the windows firewall. Most firewalls still need to be configured to allow the ports to be opened. You need to allow this programme from inside your firewall. so if you using xp visit the control panel then firewall then click on the programmes tab click add and then look for and add the limewire programme, if your using some other firewall programme do a simple search on google to find out how. This could also be down to a firewall on your router so depending on how you connect to the internet we cant really tell you. another option is to look on http://www.mp3000.net download music from there.

Got to your firewall settings and allow the program "Limewire" to connect to the internet.

Dont use limewire anymore its very easy to get caught, one of my friends got caught using it and he got a 1,000$ fine.
