Limewire help!!?

Question

HI I've been trying for hours to make my limewire work but I only get a stupid message saying "Limewire is currently conecting to the network etc etc your search may not return many results until you are fully conected" so my question is how can I make that

note: I have a Firewall but it granted access to Limewire and JavaScript please help me I'm desperate

that happened to me before. you have to let it load all the way, and if it just keeps running, delete it and reinstal it. hope that helps (:

Are you on a personal network or something else (home vs school vs work)? If you are at home, you have something blocking the limewire ports from either talking out or getting answers back from the internet.

Limewire has a nice walkthrough on thier website, take a couple minutes and see if it helps you find your issue.

Since limewire rotates ports and cycles them all over the place, I can't give you a specific list of ports to check. However I have see most times it uses ports in the 6340-6350 (TCP and UDP) range.

Here is the fix:

In Add/Remove Programs

Uninstall Limewire.

Uninstall Java.

Download and install Java from www.java.com

Then download and install Limewire 4.18.3 from www.limewire.com

Note, install Java first.

Your Firewall will allow both programs in this order.

When you say Firewall I hope it is not a FREE one, and only use one Firewall.

Norton and McAfee work well.

Try turning your firewall completely off and trying it again. If that does not work try re-installing. If that does not work your ISP may be blocking you from using it.
