Limewire is not connected?

Question

I have used limewire for as long as i can remember but for the last month it has said it isnt connected even though my internet worked fine, and when i went on to ''file'' the ''connect'' button was faded so i coudltn touch it and the ''disconnect'' button was black so i could disconnect it so it doesnt make sense....

anyway i uninstalled it and installed the newest version and it still does the same thing.

so...is it because i use it illegally that they shut me down or what?

please any help would be amazingggg!!!!

encountered the same problem a while back.

just click "disconnect", wait 30 seconds, then click "connect". should work like a charm.
