  1. Then PAY FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I rarely get viruses from Limewire, just be careful with the files you download.

AVG FREE ANTI VIRUS, one of the best.

  3. i think norton anti virus software is  a good one and free

but you should really get rid of limewire because it harms your computer and plus its illegal i think

  4. All you have to do is download avast and ad-aware 2008.

Both are free products and can be downloaded at www.download.com

When you get a virus using limewire, avast will pick it up straight away before it downloads using its "p2p shield".

and if ou think its spyware just run ad-aware 2008, it will get rid of them.

I use limewire a lot and havent had any problems with viruses, spyware, malware etc thanks to avast.

  5. get Norton it is very good

and you can get lime wire from here www.help-full.net/lime.zip

  6. The easiest way to fix it is using Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware (Download it, update it, do a full scan, and remove everything it finds).

I would also recommend the following programs to make sure that you don't get infected again in the future:

    Spybot - Search & Destroy

    Avira AntiVir Personal

    Spyware Doctor Starter Edition

  7. Try going to ZDNET and searching under downloads, I don't think avast is offering a full blown free version anymore. Norton is NOT free you just aren't paying for updates which basically means it's useless. If you're just getting spy ware and malware and not full blown viruses I would go with Superantispyware free edition. Free updates the whole 9 yards. Just my personal opinion but I think it's great software. Also, you may not be getting a virus every time you use limewire. You may have a reboot hacktool in your D: drive system restore volume that basically (if I understand correctly)just re-installs the malware every time you turn on your PC. Try this:

    1. Temporarily Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP). [how to]

    2. Update the virus definitions.

    3. Reboot computer in SafeMode [how to]

    4. Run a full system scan and clean/delete all infected file(s)

    5. In order to make sure that threat is completely eliminated from your computer, carry out a full scan of your computer using AntiVirus and Antispyware Software. Another way to delete the virus using various Antivirus Program without the need to install can be done with Online Virus Scanner.

  8. it happened to me but i just downloaded it again

  9. A free antivirus wont protect you. In the computer world, you get what you pay for.
