Limewire mp3. file sizes?

Has anyone else noticed that the sizes of mp3. music files on limewire are much larger than on a CD or if you buy them on the iTunes music store?

  1. no i dint  but you learn something new every day right?  


  2. its because the bitrate... the higher, the better quality, the more memory it takes up... itunes is generally 128kbps while some on limewire can be in there 300's
