I just got a new mac and i need some type of free music downloading service. I used limewire on my old dell and it worked fine but i've heard rumors of it giving your computer viruses. So basically, i am asking if i should add limewire or not? will it give me viruses?

  1. i want to do the same, but my dad wont let me, i need some new songs from lil wayne, t.i., young jeezy and etc., i would say add it but dont be doing anything else when ur on limewire cuz thats when it gives u the viruses

  2. LimeWire can't give you viruses, however, you can download viruses on LimeWire if you want, they're pretty easy to find. So it's up to you if you want to download the viruses or not, and if you don't want them, then just don't download them.

I use LimeWire to download stuff and I've never gotten a virus from it.

  3. We used limewire for a short time after getting our new pc, and even opted not to share, but we were attacked with viruses (one of them a Trojan) Norton stopped them, but I un-installed limewire anyway.  I really like www.playlist.com.  It's free and you can listen instantly.  You can't burn the music, but it's great at parties and you can still save the songs and compile a list of your favorites.

  4. Lime wire has gotten many of my friends in debt and in trouble, i wouldn't  consider it. Lime wire may even give you adware.

  5. I dunno if limewire is bundled with anythings, maybe adware?  Get a torrent P2P program like utorrent, get those random ip programs to hide yourself and use peer gaurdian.  Scan everything as files can be bundled with c**p.

Who uses your old dell?  If nobody use that to download and when you are sure it's clean add it to the mac.
