Limewire safe?.....?

is lime wire safe for my PC? is it going to slow down my computer or give it a virus?

no limewire is fine

just make sure what you donwload is safe.

For example, if you see a two hour movie that is only 45 kbs in size, it is a virus.

Also if a music file is only 45 kbs, it is fake.

Average movie- 500-700 mbs

Average Music Size- 4000-5000 kbs.

Limewire is fine

but of course you would want to make sure you have a firewall and an antivirus and all that good stuff, limewire or no

i;ve been using limewire for YEARS and i love it

i think it's the best there is and i've never had any problems =]

to be honest, the limewire program in itself is perfectly safe (and legal), the way you get virus's from limewire is from downloading infected programs/songs/images etc. if you are trying to find music there's much safer ways (i can't exactly tell you cuz they're just as illegal as downloading music from limewire, but if u search around u'll find them) if you want programs or something though, i reccomend downloading limewire pro from the limewire free service (haha thats just a kick in the balls for limewire, their own software screws them over) ;D it should help for some of the viruses, also just make sure u know exactly what it is you're downloading when you do download something
