  1. installing it is safe and all its just the files you download from it are the 1s u should be worried about.

the only bad thing i have gotten is adware but not because i was on the computer because my dumb cousin was downloading a lot of stuff.

but yea as the person that said b4 check the file size anything to small can mean its most likely a virus

  2. yup, just becareful of two things

1- dont make your desktop or documents folder etc as your sharing folder, on setup tell the setup wizard to create  a new sharing folder instead of using an existing one,

2- dont download anything that's sized 38 kilobits or that got a tail called WMA (windows media player) they're often +18 access material or viruses.

BTW: some companies are THINKING about setting it as illegal in the licesnse agreement issues, because its easier than ever to steal mp3s with it, so dont rise your head up high,

so far limewire have been fine with me, notrouble so far

  3. It is pretty resourceful, but you can find some weird stuff on it. A lot of my friends have gotten viruses from downloading from Limewire. Also, if you don't de-select some stuff, some of your documents can be shared through Limewire for other users to look at.

  4. yes just be sensible with it and avoid small files (less than 3MB) and make sure you have good anti virus to be safe

also use www.torrentz.com for an easy way to search a good selection of torrents websites for music, videos etc..

  5. Frankly, Limewire is c**p. c**p software in terms of peer-to-peer sharing, and full of c**p (like viruses) on the p2p networks it connects to.

As you've seen above, many people like it. Ask anyone who knows a little about computers and they can tell you loads of stuff wrong with the whole scheme of it though.

  6. if you monitor file size and type your not likely to get any viruses.

  7. limewire will f**k up your computer but the thing is   most ISPs are going to block illegal down loaders and hand over your details for prosecution so you need to get peer guardian to cover your tracks

  8. ive used bitlord as my download agent for 5 years now and its wicked, ive had no probs. and the best place to get your stuff from is www.mininova.org                          limewire is childs play c**p trust me, you will get loads of poo you dont wont with limewire..........      give me a message for more info

  9. limewire is a piece of c**p. recently there was a huge scandal on the news about how they found out that some of the attachments on limewire put your computer full of advertisements non stop and it crashes your computer and theres nothing to do about it. i wouldnt take my chances if i were you

  10. I've installed it and uninstalling it multiple times; what you download from it [illegally] can be packed with viruses, though. It works for me, though. =3

  11. The program itself is safe if downloaded from the right site.

After you use it then it is where you can possibly get virus.

  12. The limewire software itself is safe. But as for songs and other stuff, no. There are viruses in some of the files, actually quite a few. I mean your probably safe if you have really good antivirus programs that will detect them and stop you from downloading it. but i wouldn't recommend it. I have PC-cillin for Dell and it detects the viruses in the files but if you don't i'm not sure. Basically i wouldn't and it's not legal, or at least a majority of it's not. So i wouldn't download songs or anything from it, full of viruses.

  13. No...best to stay away from unstable and full of it...viruses and the like. There are more stable free downloads.Limewire will also only give half a song or less...been there done that...
