Say the government/NHL went Big Brother on us like Orwell's novel 1984 and limited each fan to a single hockey jersey for the rest of your lives. What would be the one jersey you would choose and who would be the player and team?

  1. Blackhawks red jersey or Candiens red jersey.

  2. Lidstrom- Detroit Redwings

  3. i was having a hard time with this, but i'm going to base this on this amazing famous canadian painter who i got to meet and work with before he died. i got to see this piece at the hhof years before i even met the painter.

so it's got to be #99 wayne gretzky as a rangers.

i would have said as an oilers (obviously a canadian team). but either way it'll be that jersey, that team, that player, and his number.

  4. Just gimme a Pens jersey, no player / number on the back.  If I had to have a player / number, it would be Ulf Samuelsson, #5.

  5. The Winston Churchill of Sweden! Calgary #12 - Hakan Loob!

  6. Sens...Ron Tugnutt. He played well for the team and I just think his name is funny!

  7. Old Oilers home jersey with #99 on the back.

  8. Easy. Vincent Lecavalier #4 jersey.

  9. Evgeni Nabokov 07-08 San Jose Sharks home jersey.

  10. I guess I keep my signed Denis Potvin Islanders sweater , even though it hasn't fit me for a while. But it would hurt to get rid of my Bob Nystrom one.

  11. Red Wings #19 Steve Yzerman.  Great leader, player, and a very classy guy.

  12. I would want to most defidently have the Pittsburgh Penguins 91-92 stanley cup jersey... teh player would overall have to be Tom Barrasso... he is my favorite goalie of all time and to own any tommy jersey friom that year would be amazing ;) !!!

  13. Mike Modano, the most complete player in hockey history.

  14. I would choose a Pittsburgh Penguins 1984 Mario Lemieux jersey. The best player ever on my favorite team from the year he was drafted and the year I was born... He was drafted 4 days before I was born so yeah, it would be fate.

  15. Scott Stevens, New Jersey Devils.  Definitely.  He was the perfect leader, and really helped this franchise get to it's 3 Stanley Cups.

  16. Any of the Hansen Bros or The CAPTAIN..(former, obviously) #19 Stevie Yzerman...No classier player in our era.  Modest, humble soft spoken, well mannered, great guy in person.  Longest tenured captain in NHL history, a record not to be broken. The epitome of professionalism.

  17. Give me Mike Modano jersey!!!!!!

  18. #19 - Stevie Y

  19. I'd choose either my Corey Perry Ducks jersey or my Corey Perry London Knights jersey.

Probably my Ducks one, because it's team signed.

  20. Jason Spezza- He's young and should be around for a while, and i think he's one of the best playmakers I've seenin a while (along With Datsyuk). So i'm gonna go with a spezza jersey.

  21. Minnesota North Stars

    #9 Mike Modano

  22. Nashville predators, Steve Sullivan # 26.

because he is really small but he goes to show u that size means nothing, hes one of the fastest guys in the NHL, great leader, and always brings his A game. too bad he always hurt : / .

  23. Phaneuf-I think he will be a very well known defenseman for a very long time.
