2NH3 + 3CuO ----> N2 + 3Cu + 3H20

so does this mean that i need 2 NH3 molecules and 3 CuO molecules to combine so i wouldnt have a limiting reactant?

You need 2 molecules ( or moles ) of NH3 and 3 molecules ( or moles ) of CuO.

In this case you have not limiting reactant
