Lin Dan tames Jan Hao Hsu in Men’s Singles first round of the 2011 China Masters Super Series
China’s most illustrious shuttler, Lin Dan made his mark over Jen Hao Hsu of Chinese Taipei in the Men’s Singles first round of the 2011 China Masters Super Series, on Wednesday, September 14, in Changzhou, China.
Lin, who has recently won the Men’s Singles title at the World Championships for the fourth time, proved his superiority by playing in his quick style. Jen Hao failed to put up any sort of strong resistance against the ruling Olympic and World Champion,
and lost the match in straight games.
The 27-year-old Lin is considered as the best player in the history of the game, as he has grabbed all major titles in the world of badminton. He is strongest shuttler in the world when it comes to mental toughness.
Lin’s aggressive approach and incredibly sharp reflexes spare no chance for his opponents to dominate the game. In the opening round match of the China Masters, the local hero played in his usual fashion and won the battle with considerable ease.
The Chinese started the game in a relaxed manner, but kept good control of the rallies to keep his opponent under pressure. He is famous for his extremely powerful jump smashes, which generally remain unreturned by his opponents. He used the same weapon
on different occasions against the Taipei player in the first set and finished it easily with the margin of 21-15, in 19 minutes.
Jen Hao failed to play his usual game as his rival was quick in picking the bird from all corners of the court. The Chinese was moving fast in the court and tested all of his skills against the lower ranked opponent. Lin made no error in the second game
as he played without any pressure of being the top seed in the draw.
The Chinese bagged the second game with the margin of 21-13, by taking just 16 minutes. The opening-round match ended with the victory of the top seed with a margin of 21-15 and 21-13.
