Well I wanted a Cadillac Esclade but everyone told me it was not good so now I found a 05 Lincoln Aviator with 57,000 miles on it or a 04 with 30,000 both for 14,900.Are these good deals?Which one would you pick?

  1. It's a Ford Explorer. I wouldn't touch that with 57,000 miles. Thirty thousand is a little better but that's what you're starting with and it'll only go way up. In this case, the '04 is a better deal since the miles are fewer and the difference is only one year. I would suggest avoiding anything with more than 40,000 miles, simply because you'll be using it for several years and should plan to drive about 10-12k annually. It might be a different story if we were talking about an import like Mercedes (not BMW), Honda, Toyota/Lexus, or Nissan (not Infiniti because they don't have any SUVs like the ones you've mentioned).

What about a Honda Pilot EX-L?

Edit: How about the Highlander or Sequoia? You won't find a Land Cruiser for that price that's less than 9 years old. They all have captain's chairs.

  2. i personally like the caddy, but i would go for the 04. good luck.

  3. It's the same thing as a ford explorer, and the explorer is one of the worst cars on the road. Terrible reliablilty and resale, and the explorers are constantly getting into accidents, I think because of the bad rollover. On the other hand, the new escelade is reliable, good crash test, and good resale. So who ever told you that the escelade is not good doesn't know what there talking about.
