August 23, 2011 - Minnesota Lynx vs. Tulsa Shock
Whalen racked up 14 points on 6 for 11 shooting from the field as Minnesota cruised past the slumping Tulsa Shock 78-72 on August 23 at the BOK Center.
Whalen also chipped with four assists and three rebounds on the night, scoring 8 of her points early in the third quarter as Minnesota carved out a 47-41 lead and did not trail for rest of the second half.
August 26, 2011 – Minnesota Lynx vs. San Antonio Silver Stars
Lindsay Whalen landed 14 points and narrowly missed a double-double with nine assists as Minnesota Lynx edged out San Antonio Silver Stars on August 26, 2011 at Target Center. Whalen recorded 12 of her points in the first half
of the game as Minnesota held a two-point lead, 38-36, at halftime. The 29-year-old guard also grabbed five rebounds and stole the ball twice. She hit 6 for 12 from the field and 2 for 2 from free throw line.
August 9, 2011 – Minnesota Lynx vs. Phoenix Mercury
Although the Phoenix Mercury snapped Lynx’s franchise-best nine-game winning streak on August 9 at the US Airways Center, however Whalen managed to put up an upright performance.
The prolific guard tallied 15 points, dished out six assists, and grabbed three rebounds, going 6 for 13 from the field, including 3 for 4 from three-point range. The game was very significant for Whalen.
The three-time WNBA All-Star hit back to back shots from downtown in the first five minutes of the opening quarter, the second putting her over 3,000 points in her eight-year WNBA career. The 5 ft 9 in player became the sixth player
in league history to reach 3,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, and 1,000 assists in her career.
June 7, 2011 – Minnesota Lynx vs. Tulsa Shock
On June 7, Whalen slipped a perfect 10 from the free throw line to end up with 16 points, leading the Minnesota Lynx to a 75-65 win over Tulsa Shock at the Target Center. Lindsay scored 12 of her points in the first half of the
game as the Lynx held a 39-28 lead at halftime. On the night, she also dealt out four assists and grabbed three rebounds.
July 26, 2011 - Minnesota Lynx vs. Los Angeles Sparks
Playing at the Target Center, Whalen powered the resurgent Lynx to an 85-72 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks. The Minnesota guard erupted with 16 points and dished out a game-high seven assists, marshalling Minnesota to their
sixth win in seven games. The player hit 8 for 9 from the field. Whalen punctuated 10 points in the first half of the game as Minnesota opened up a double-digit lead for the 13th time in 15 games of the regular season.
