Lindy Duncan and Brooke Pancake ready to take attention at Meadows

The Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012 is set to be staged from August 9-12, at Highland Meadows Golf Club, Ohio, with two rising stars Lindy Duncan and Brooke Pancake of the United States in the roster.
Both the players are expected to do their best on the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Tour event, as they boast a stunning profile in amateur golf.
Pancake, who turned professional recently, is proud to be among a fearsome field featuring players like the current world number one Yani Tseng, defending champion Na Yeon Choi of South Korea, American Stacy
Lewis, Lexi Thompson, Paula Creamer, Ai Miyazato, Suzann Pettersen and Cristie Kerr.
On the other hand, Lindy Duncan also seems to have what it takes to rattle rivals on the course. It remains to be seen how the two young golfers will fare against battle-hardened rivals at Highland Meadows
Golf Club, but both of them are determined to prove their mettle this week.
The Director of Jamie Farr Toledo Classic, Judd Silverman said that he is pretty happy about the participation of Pancake and Lindy Duncan, and hopes that it will set a precedent for young amateurs to strive
for a bigger stage — the LPGA Tour.
Silverman said that the tournament has a certain procedure to take players on board, but was keen to point out that the number of players wanting to join the tournament roster is increasing by the day.
“We receive letters from players who are interested in acquiring a sponsor's exemption. We review the letters and it's always a very difficult decision. We get 30 or 40 letters from both college players and
non-exempt LPGA pros. The tournament staff makes the decision,” Silverman said.
The Director went on to say that both Pancake and Lindy Duncan performed well and helped their teams record goof finishes in several amateur tournaments.
“We liked their amateur record and their ranking," Silverman said. "Lindy was player of the year, and Brooke obviously helped her team win the NCAA championship. She finished second individually that week,
and she had a great senior year as well. In our eyes those were the top two collegiate players in the country”.
