Line 6 Pod xt vs x3?

Question

I play Metallica, AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Pantera, Iron Maiden and other music like that. I also really want to get into blues. I also want a nice clean sound. Is the x3 worth the extra $100? i have $300 right now and i wanna know if the x3 is worth mowing lawns for another month? I don't really need the bass and vocal just guitar.

If you want your guitar to sound like a plastic toy you could get either...If you have your heart set on a multi-effect board you are better off going with Boss ME-50, it's cheaper and the sound is better (I say better very loosely, multi-effects sound like garbage.)

Seriously you can't go wrong with the Tech 21 SansAmp Tri-A.C. Distortion Pedal, it has all the sounds you are looking for in one, it isn't expensive, and I'm going to assume you don't have a tube amp.

Sure your friends probably won't think you are 'cool' because you didn't waste your money on line 6 trash but they will be  jealous of your tone.
