Question:

Line Output Converter.?

I have recently installed an AMP and I've tried using a high signal to feed my amp (I do have high input on the amp) The signal I was feeding was from the rear two speakers. The sound comes out with noise when the AMP is fet with the high signal. There is some noise even when the HU (Honda Accord 2007 SE OEM HU) is on 0 volume. I was thinking it might be cause the signal to the rear speakers is run on the left side of the car, right next to my Power cable. I was thinking of getting an OUT LINE CONVERTER and then use RCA cables to run it on the right side of my car right next to the speakers wires, to feed my AMP. Has anyone here tried it before? Does anyone know if it would help? And whats a good out line converter to get? Any help is appreciated.

  1. i had a similar problem on all my cars. i used a line out convetrer from the rca plugs and the problem was solved. you may still hear a very faint sound but this will be drowned when u turn up the volume.

  2. use one o these to get rid of the noice

  3. This is not uncommon for some amps. Especially if it is a cheaper brand. The best way is to go with the line out converter. converting to a low voltage signal makes it harder for noise to be introduced into your system.
