  1. I can still remember when I was a little girl (before fabric softeners and tumble dryers) my Mum rubbing socks, towels etc agains themselves as she took them off the line.  Bit time consuming but it definitely softens things.  Actually for yourself (not for the little ones) a rough towel will exfoliate your skin so it could be a benefit.

  2. use double the amount of directed softner for clothes

dried in a machine. Put a 1/2 cup in with your wash when

you start, then add a 1/2 cup after the first rinse cycle.

I wish I could put my clothes out on a line

they are fresher and smell cleaner.

    Wanna trade?

  3. Ahhhhhhhhh, the trick is

    use more fabric softener!

    Rinse cycle!!!  Not the wash.

If it says one capful, I put four in......LOL

    Yup, I sure do!!

With towels, hang dry them, and when they are almost dried, throw them in the dryer till dry.

Works on jeans too doing this method.

    It fluffs them.

Oh, well you didn't state that you didn't have a dryer.  lol

Just triple the amount.  It will work even with towels.

    :-)
