  1. Most of the time you can do that if you qualify for the other Military Occupational Specialty you want to get into.

Also, the Army is pushing all soldiers learn a language, so you could still be learning world languages and walking point....

  2. Yes, you can apply for retraining into another field.

But not a field that is over manned.

  3. Most of the time yes you can re-class to a different MOS.  However, you can only re-class to an MOS that is in more need of people then yours is.  I recomend you sign up for the job you think you are going to want for the rest of your career.  Then if it doesn't work out worry about your options.  Chances of Linguist being available as a re-class option from infantry is probably slim to none.  Go for Linguist off the bat if that is what you want!

  5. your career is basic on your test score.  If you score high enough to get into one of those progams they will not let you go into infantry.

I reconmend they you go to college for at 1 semester.  Take algebra and english classes.  Better you do on test the job you get.  Then you could go to the navy or air force

  6. It depends on your gt score. If its more than a 110 you should be good. Ive heard from guys that are infantrymen that it could be difficult to change your mos.Hope this helped
