1. Which equation shows a linear relationship between the variables stated?

a) d = ½ at2 , for d versus t

b) Ek = ½ mv2, for Ek versus v

c) m = F/a , for m versus a

d) V = IR , for V versus I

2. A rolling ball will eventually stop rolling. Which describes one reason why this happens?

a) The ball eventually loses its energy.

b) Friction converts some of the energy into heat energy.

c) Friction converts some of the energy into kinetic energy.

I think its c?

And the last one!

Calculate how much work you need to move a 280 N shed to a platform 5 m above?

You dont have to calculate it for me..But if you could just sorta give me the direction to go in, in order to solve it..That would be great..Thanks

  1. 1 d

    2 b

    ........

    (I'm guessing here that 280 N = mg [mass x gravity]  )

    W = Fd = (mg)d  = 1400  N-m

    <<<<<<< NOTE: there are 2 "m" ..in my answer .  >>>>

    one of thees is

    m = mass

    the other is

    m = meter

  2. 1: d - Since a and b are squared relationships and c is an inverse relationship while d is linear.

    2: b - Friction is what causes things to stop moving, friction can be witnessed through the heat it produces.

    Extra: Potential energy equation: Ep = m*g*h

    m*g = 280N

    h = 5m

    Ep = 1400 Nm = 1400 J
