Link problems.?

Question

on neopets sometimes on pet pages there are links and you click on it and it directs you down the page to where you are.. and you look on the link and for example it was www.neopets.com/~yum it would then be

www.neopets.com/~yum#whatever

how does this work and how do I do it? thanks.

Links within a page to a particular section are known as a named anchor.  It is like and other html link, but you indicate the anchor location on the page by 'naming' it with the # symbol.  The tutorial in the link gives some good examples of use.
