Linkin Park. 'In the End' is there a MISTAKE!?

Ok first of all i know this is being very picky and i'm only really looking for opinions. in the beginning of 'In the End' is there a MISTAKE on the piano part. the first riff is repeated 4 times before the singing starts. on the third iteration [10 seconds into the song] there are about 9 notes in each riff. within the 9 notes there are two sets of double notes. now the mistake, i think on the third repeat of the opening riff the first set of 2 notes dont have any sustain on them unlike every other note in the sequence, am i wrong? do you think this is a mistake?

thanks
