what qualifies a course to be called a links course that is different from a regular course?

  1. Links courses usually refer to golfing venues which are wind blown, close to the sea, not irrigated, hard as rocks with heather  separated fairways which avid American golfers pay big bucks to play in England, Scotland and Wales.
