When I heard about the feedback changes I was slightly rattled, then when they were actually increasing seller's fees I became more rattled. However, those just rattled by these issues, have not seen anything yet. Now eBay is going to force the seller to accept only Pay-Pal, Pro-Pal or merchant Credit Cards, if a sellers DSR drops below 4.3 they will not be allowed to list new items, and finally if you sell media (DVDs, Books, etc.) eBay will tell you what you can charge for postage, and give most sellers incentives to give away free shipping.

Here are the links promised so you can view these changes yourself.

NEW POLICIES can be found at: http://www2.ebay.com/aw/core/200808.shtml#2008-08-20070116

A YouTube video where you can hear eBay lie about these changes at the 2008 eBay live conference can be found at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxVsH8zi-A0

And all the eBay radio, townhall audio can be found at: http://www.wsradio.com/internet-talk-radio.cfm/shows/eBay-Town-Hall.html

I know we are not going to be able to change eBay's ideas about these major changes but I would like to know what you think about them, and if you have any good links related to this subject please include them with this question.

  1. Have you read the worst about it? CHeck this out below.

  2. Thank the sweet baby Jebus they're getting rid of money order and cheque payments.  Anyone paying with a money order is a fathead and needs to be slapped back to reality.  That should take care of most of the fraud on eBay.

Yes, they plan to block anyone with a DSR below 4.3.  If your DSRs are that low, you are not a good businessperson.  Good move.

Limiting the amount sellers can charge for shipping is great too.  No more sellers listing items very cheap, and then ripping people off on the shipping cost.

Your comment "hear eBay lie about these changes" tells me exactly what kind of person you are.  You're obviously one of the seller who's been ripping people off.  I look forward to your removal from eBay.  Less for you means more for me.
