2WIRE Wireless Router

I've been getting the message, "connected to access point, but cannot connect to Internet". I've searched these forums and found very similar problems but I'm still unable to get onto the internet. I've gone to Device Manager to make sure that is was enabled and properly installed which it is. Does anyone have advice on how to fix this problem?

also, when checking the Wireless Network Connections Status, it says that there is no IP address : 0.0.0.0 But it then gives me an Automatic Private Address..

  1. Try power cycling your network. Shut everything off.(modem, router, computers, etc.) > Wait 5 mins. > Turn on modem > Wait 2 mins. > Turn on router > Wait 1 min. > Turn on computers, one at a time. See if that fixes the problem?

  2. Ok, so your router is not giving your machine an IP address via DHCP.  Log into your 2wire and make sure DHCP is setup.  I would also re-verify your wireless settings and if all else fails plug your computer into the router directly and see if you get an IP address that way.
