How do I remove my former wireles network from the list of networks to choose from? I changed my router name to my dad's name and my former name still appers, what can I do to remove it?

  1. Most Wireless Cards come with some software loaded on them that run down by the clock.

    For example, I have an Intel Card and I have Intel ProSet - Wireless software running.

    If I double click that, there will be a button for profile.

    Click that and delete the profiles that you dont want!

    Edit - Rouschkateer, You will not want to delete it from there.  That will delete the connection to the NIC.  He only wants to delete the profile!  Additionally, MyNetworkPlaces on an XP machine is only going to show the machines in NetBios around you.

    Jim H - That tab isnt available on my XP Pro because I have the Intel software loaded.


  2. You will get rid of it in 15 seconds thisi way:

    Control Panel / Networl Connections / Right click on Wireless Connection x / Properties / Wireless Networks (tab) / click on the one you want to delete and hit the Remove button.


  3. Start > My Netowrk Places

    Simply delete the connection
