Linksys Help?

Question

For some reason I cant connect to the internet but I am connected to the access point. I'm using linksys and I stopped using it for a week and then went back to using it and it wouldn't work. I tired uninstalling it then reinstalling it and it didn't work. Anyone know how to fix this? Please and thank you.

May be your browser settins may be changed ..try following option.

1.Restore your computer 1 week back and try again.

or

2.Check your incoming cable to the modem is fine.

or

3.Check with the browser setting.

I have the same problem someties.

sometimes you just need to unplug it then plug it back in.

annyoying but it works.

what kinkseys product do you have, a router, computer wireless card, wired card?  What kind of access point do you have.. If you can conect to the access point but your not getting internet it is likly your accespon is not giveing your computer an ip address.  Try to repair the conection or cvhange the acces point settign to work properly.

you need to set up your LAN or wireless area network again. installing and re installing the router won't work always. particularly if your router and your modem have the same "domain" ip address.

check the literature of both your modem and router. sometimes, the router is not configured properly for a wireless connection and so needs further tweaking.

Did you check that button on your computer that connects you to that thing? it should be blue..and you might want to try repairing your connection or making SURE you are connected.

Unplug your router and cable/dsl mode for 3 mins then plug in your router and let boot up and then plug back in your cable/dsl modem.

if that dosent work next try resetting your router, use a paper clip to push in small button in the back

I also had that problem before. I unplugged my old modem and then replugged it to the computer. And it did not work. My current modem is linksys. My old modem never worked again. Maybe its that the modem is too old... try buying a new wireless modem. The linksys modem is probally damaged.

Have you already tried hardbooting your router and modem (unplug, wait a couple secs, then plug back in)?

If that doesn't work, try contacting your ISP.

i am also using linksys try going to the settings to set up the location in which you are using the connection. if u moved locations then it may not  reachable. also reset ur router, and see how the connection signal is?...good luck
