I'm using a Westell Router for my DSL for bellsouth, I've connected my Linksys WRT54G via Ethernet cord to my Westell router which has a working internet connection.

The wireless on my Linksys does not work, but the internet green LED is on as well as the Wireless G but not the DMZ. is there a way to fix this?

  1. When I installed my Linksys router, there was a conflict between its default IP address and the Westell DSL modem.

By changing the Linksys IP to 192.168.2.1, everything worked.

  2. Hooking 2 wireless routers in succession to extend your wirless signal does not work...

  3. If you unplug everything that is connected to the Westell router and count to 60 it will most likely solve the problem. (it does for me) Make sure that you plug in the Westell first.  The DMZ is not relevant, its used for a Dynamic DNS setup.
