Linksys router WRT54G problem?

I just moved in to a new house with a different server, when I plug in my PC directly to the router I cant connect to the internet or anything, but if I connect my PC directly to the DSL it works, and I have all the cables set up properly.

HELP ME PEOPLE AND JESUS PLEASE!?

  1. Do you think one of you Ethernet cables could have been damaged in the move?


  2. You may need to put your DSL modem into bridge mode.  The double check the pppoe settings in the internet side of your router.

  3. connect you linkys router to your dsl router and your pc.

    go to your linksys admin page

    go to setup

    go to advance routing

    change operation mode from gateway to router

  4. if you moved, and got a new modem, you're going to have to "clone" the MAC address of your computer's ethernet card.

    access your router from your PC by going to either http://192.168.2.1 or http://192.168.1.1, enter your password in the box that pops up (default is "admin") and on the Basic Setup tab, click "MAC Address Clone" on the sub-bar.

    Make sure it's enabled, and then click "Clone Your PC's MAC". After that, click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page and you should be up and running

  5. check to ensure the router doesnt have mac filtering
