Linux 8.04 or Windows XP?

I'm going to reformat a hard drive either to linux or windows xp and i cant decide which

  1. erm get both then. install xp then boot frm ur ubuntu disk and select the option to dual boot.

  4. I would dual boot.  I'm assuming you're talking about installing Ubuntu GNU/Linux.  Just so you know. 8.04 only refers to the version of Ubuntu, not the version of Linux.  In fact as of this writing, the latest stable version of Linux is only 2.6.26.2.
