Lionel Messi denies receiving the DVD that Pele had stated he would send to the Argentine
Lionel Messi has revealed his curiosity at not receiving a DVD that the Brazilian legend, Pele, had vowed he would send to the Argentine.
Reports suggest that in response to the many comparisons being made by the media all over the football world between the two players, Lionel Messi stated that he had never seen the legendary footballer play. Messi further explained that the fact that he
had not watched Pele play meant that he was unable to make a comment about the comparisons.
In response to Messi’s statement about not having watched Pele play, the football great responded with a statement vowing that he would show Messi a DVD showing the highlights of Pele’s career. The Brazilian’s statement was understood as Pele’s message to
Messi that the youngster still had a long way to go before he could be compared to him.
