Messi denied any comparisons with the legendary Diego Maradona and said that he was a different player to him. He rated Maradona in a totally different league altogether but admitted that he wants a place for himself in the history books.
The Catalan admitted that he would love to have the luck of the former Argentina coach, referring to the emphatic World Cup victory in 1986.
"Diego is unique and there is no need to compare. But, I do want to place my name in football history. If I have the luck to do what Diego did, then it will be good." Lionel Messi concluded.
