Lionhearted Andy to build on Sheffield success
The spectators at Sheffield are likely to witness a spectacular performance by Lionhearted Andy, who was mighty impressive on his previous venture here last month.
After doing well in the trials on January 23rd, the son of Crash continued the majestic work, and won an open race in style at the end of last month.
By virtue of an amazing early pace, he managed to lead very early in the race. The dashing hound did not lose his advantage throughout the contest, and eventually bagged the first prize by half a length.
He is returning to this track after an unlucky outing at Nottingham, where he failed to produce any result. One must not judge him on the recent ride. He has a wonderful record here, and can make a significant damage once again.
Among the rivals are: Demesne Tornado, Boher Conway, Barefoot Missile, Call Me Freddie, and Fridays Dynamo. Sheffield Stadium Sprint - Duplicated, which will be run over a distance of 280 metres, is scheduled to begin at 19:43 GMT. A cash prize of 200 pounds is reserved for the ultimate champion.
Lionhearted Andy is in good form, and enjoying an excellent draw. But things are not as simple as they look. The brindle dog will have to make a special move in order to get a comprehensive win.
Barefoot Missile is not in good rhythm, but the draw is not too bad. Wearing red jacket, the white and black dog is seeking an early advantage – something very important for him to beat this line-up.
Demesne Tornado is consistent, and looks the major threat to Lionhearted Andy. Ahead of finishing second in two consecutive races, the brindle dog won an open race by a couple of lengths here last month.
Call Me Freddie needs to do well to match strides with these earlybirds. Without a lead in the beginning, he seems to have no chance whatsoever.
Boher Conway was slightly disappointed last time, and needs to bounce back to play a role here. Fridays Dynamo is also facing a stiff task. It is very hard to expect him to thrive after an embarrassing loss last time. Good luck to all the contenders.
