“Lions can challenge undefeated Packers”, says Ndamukong Suh – NFL News
The mind games before the big match tomorrow have started in earnest with Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh sending out a challenge to unbeaten Green Bay Packers.
“By all means, do I think our team is at their level, to be able to play against them. I don’t see them as a golden-perfect team. Everybody has flaws in this league, but everybody has great things they do. It’s just a matter of
eliminating mistakes on our time and on our team and causing them to make as many mistakes as possible,” the Lions defensive tackle said.
Suh called by many as the league’s dirtiest player as he constantly pushes the limits to what constitutes a legal tackle. The burly defender personifies the Lions current form putting in strong tackles and using his physical prowess
to knock opponents off their stride.
The 24 year old was in bullish mood when talking to media on Tuesday saying
“I think it would mean that we are on track to be where we want to be, winning games. I know this game would mean a lot to this city and I, personally, would like to end the drought we’ve had,” Suh said.
Lions were the last team to beat Packers with a 7-3 win in Detroit last season. Suh was an important part of that victory in which Packers quarterback and NFL number one Aaron Rodgers had to leave the field following a concussion
after the first period. After that game to the current season Packers have remain unbeaten winning 16 games with 0 losses while also picking up the Super Bowl XLV along the way.
Suh and his teammates will be looking to finally end Packers run and they can achieve that with Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford in good knick following a great performance last Sunday against Carolina Panthers with the quarterback
starting a comeback in the second half of the game to give Lions the victory.
Detroit Lions are 7-3 this season and will look to put up a big fight against 10-0 Packers at the sold out Ford Field in what is shaping up to be one of the best Thanksgiving Day NFL encounters.
