Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson to play against Carolina Panthers – NFL News
Chicago Bears game plan for Sunday’s game came off spectacularly well as they kept the Lions major offensive threat nicknamed “Megatron” by fans Calvin Johnson firmly in check throughout the game and even got a little physical
with him throwing his participation for their next game against Carolina Panthers on November 20th.
The good news for Lions fans is that Johnson has confirmed that he is fine and ready for the game against Panthers. Johnson has been the Lions best receiver this season playing exceptionally well as he scored 11 touchdowns and
covered 885 receiving yards in the nine games played.
Bears Corner back Charles Tillman shadowed the Wide Receiver throughout last Sunday’s game limiting him to just 7 receives and 81 yards during the game. With their best offensive outlet not having a good night and getting harassed
out of the game the Lions succumbed to a 37-13 loss.
Calvin Johnson took a nasty hit during the encounter in the second quarter and observed the final quarter of the match from the sidelines. The incident occurred when Bears Linebacker Lance Briggs hit Johnson as quarter back Matthew
Stafford’s pass was intercepted. Johnson looked dazed and confused after the hit
Quarter back Matthew Stafford when asked about Johnson on Monday replied
"I don't know," Stafford said Monday, Nov. 14. "To tell you the truth, I haven't talked to him about how he's feeling. But I would hope so."
Johnson underwent a concussion test on Monday by the Lions medical team and has now been given the all clear to take part in the Lions encounter against National Football Conference South Division club Carolina Panthers. The Wide receiver also had no problems
with Briggs’s hit telling the Detroit Free Press
"That was a good hit," Johnson said "I told him that. ... It was all shoulder pad." he added “I’m allright. Just got my bell rung a little bit there at the end, but other than that, I’m fine.”
The Lions will be looking to get back to winning ways in game week 11 as they take on Carolina Panthers and will be counting on Johnson to bring his A-game to the encounter and help his team forget the mauling they got at the hands
of Chicago.
